What’s happening in the Spring term?
Our books for Spring 1 are ‘Handa’s Surprise” and “Meerkat Mail”.
Our books for Spring 2 are “Dogger” and “Oi Frog!”.
We will be exploring writing simple sentences and using ‘and’ to join words and clauses. We will also be focusing on how to use finger spaces, capital letters and full stops. We will also learnt how to use question marks and exclamation marks in our writing.
For Mathematics in the Spring term we are focusing on:
- Place value within 40
- Addition and Subtraction within 20
- 2D and 3D shape
- Number bonds within 10 and 20
- Length and measure
Our Science units for the Spring terms are “What is your Favourite Season?” and “What materials could you use to build an alien spaceship?”.
Our Geography unit for Spring 1 is “What will we see on our Journey Around the World?”. Through this unit , we will be learning all about continents, countries and oceans. Our History unit for Spring 2 is “Are i-pads more fun that toys from the past?”.
