Our theme this term is Stories and Rhymes. We will be having themed weeks based on traditional tales and well known rhymes and stories.
We will be counting objects, recognising and ordering numbers to twenty, finding one more and one fewer than any number to twenty and adding and subtracting amounts. We will also be ordering items by height, length, weight and capacity,
Our work in class will be based around the well known books: Little Red Riding Hood, The Gruffalo and The Owl Babies. We will also be having themed weeks on Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day.
Reading books are changed every Monday.
Home-School books will be given out every Friday and need to be handed back in the following Tuesday.
What a lovely, sunny morning it was for our fun morning. The children had great exercise whilst enjoying themselves. It was great to see many parents there and the children made us proud, as always.
This week three baby rabbits arrived in the Foundation Unit. We have been learning about how to care for them. We've already discovered that they love eating apples and radishes. We have had lots of opportunities for cuddles!
