What’s happening this half term?
Our themes for this term are animals and growth.
We will be learning the number bonds to ten and double numbers to double five. The children will continue to work on addition and subtraction in problem solving contexts. We will be working on recognising 2D and 3D shapes as well as creating and continuing patterns.
We will be having themed weeks based on Caryl Hart’s Albie stories. The children will be writing their own versions of Dear Zoo as well as having themed weeks based on the books Fantastic Fish, Christopher’s Caterpillars and On Sudden Hill.
We will be revising phase three letter sounds this term and continuing to work on learning to read and write simple sentences.
Reading books are changed every Monday.
Home-School books will be given out every Friday and need to be handed back in the following Tuesday.
Snack money is £2 per week

Reception Class enjoyed a virtual author visit today from Peter Bently and Claire Powell. The children got to listen to The King's Birthday Suit and complete an illustrator session where they got to draw their own kings.
